Mountain Men | Part 7

Caleb and The Mountain of Conquest
We are called to die with our boots on.

GROUP READING: Joshua 14:6-15, 2 Timothy 4:7, Philippians 3:14, 1 Chronicles 28:20, John 17:4

GROUP DISCUSSION:

1. Through the life of Caleb the Mountain Man we can see clearly that we were not created to be tame, but wild. Does this resonate with you?

2. Caleb had unwavering confidence in those he was fighting alongside and was unwaveringly obedient to the deep call of the creator to walk out redemption for his people. Is this the type of man you want to fight alongside with? Are you that type of man? Does hearing about Caleb fire you up? Why?

3. We also see that Caleb didn’t have the idea of retirement in his head. He was going to fight until his last breath. He wanted to die with his boots on. Do you want to chase a white ball around a golf course when you are of retirement age (nothing wrong with golfing by the way)? If so, why? If not, what do you see yourself doing as you grow older? Does the story of Caleb inspire you or is it challenging? Or both? Why?

GROUP PRAYER:
Pray that we would be men who are quick to action when the call comes. Pray that we are as quick to obedience as Caleb the Mountain Man. Pray that we see the bigger picture like Caleb did. Taking hold of what God has is way bigger than our eyes can see. Pray that we will be quick to follow the Holy Spirit when we sense the wind blowing. May we be men who are willing to live life to the fullest and die with our boots on.
