Mountain Men | Part 6

Joshua and The Mountain of Blessing
When we hear from the Lord, we are called to act with confidence.

GROUP READING: Deuteronomy 11:26, Psalm 81:10

GROUP DISCUSSION:

1. Have you ever been in a season similar to Joshua in which a seasoned spiritual guide has passed on and it is your turn to lead? Or has there been an opportunity in which you have needed to step up and lead? Have you failed? Have you succeeded? What have you learned?

2. Sometimes God isn’t interested in if we will fail or succeed. He just wants to see us give it a go. Do you lack the confidence needed to step out and go for it? Do you have the confidence to step out and go for it? Where does this confidence or lack of confidence come from?

3. Are there people in your life who are looking for a leader? Do you know that no matter how you feel, you are already equipped to lead? Look to Jesus. He will guide you.

GROUP PRAYER:
Pray that we become men who are so guided by the Holy Spirit that our first inclination is to protect and lead with peace, clarity, and strength. Pray that we focus our attention even closer on Jesus, trusting that He will not lead us where He will not provide that peace, clarity, and strength. He is after all the Prince of Peace. May we be men who are not guided by fear, but by confidence, knowing that we follow the one who was present in the beginning, and already has the end wrapped up. Amen and a thousand more amens.
